About us
Acanthastech has been created in the beginning of 2019 to contribute to the exploration of the reef and its protection, particularly against invasive species such as the Crown-of-thorns starfish (COTS - Acanthaster planci) which is corallivore on coral reefs.
We believe that new technologies like under-waters drones could help, bring new possibilities with less risk, and an affordable budget.
That's why we bet that these equipments, completed with various sensors, cameras, data collectors to enhance, will offer complementary solutions to those that already exist.
Acanthastech is based in Reunion island (South-West of Indian Ocean) and intervenes in your area, according to your needs.

Dive in an Aquarium
Here's a short video to show what the drone can produce.
Thanks to the Direction of Aquarium of Saint-Gilles team for the authorization to immerge in the shark basin.
It was interesting to see how the fish react to the drone ... and we'll make soon a special post to describe this experience.
